I have days when I contemplate going back to raiding, then I remember why I quit and the idea doesn't show it's ugly head for a while. I hate the schedule, the rigidity, the competition. I like to just run around and do my thing! Which reminds, me, I recently got a HUGE achievement, so I'll probably be writing about that soon!!

I miss being able to talk to you regularly!! What's your toon on Silvermoon's name, she's going on my friend list.

<3!!

Her name's Aurendar!
I created a lowbie hunter so I could stay in touch with the gang! I know how ya feel about the contemplation. I love raiding but honestly don't feel I can commit to the rigorous hours.

Would love to come back as a casual and catch some raids when needed. Aur is just soooo bored over on BWR right now.

Sweet post David, you make a tremendous point about loving the job you do. It's amazing how much better you work and how much more creative your thinking gets when you're really engaged. Hope to read more great blogs like this!

I don’t post this as a dilemma or anything; I just feel its interesting. Its a set of quotes from the Alinsky book ‘Rules for Radicals’, which is often held up by conservative US bloggers as somehow related to the community organising past of their President. I think they are an excellent practical statement of political realism and political ethics – at least because they DO get explicit about them.
